The 30th August 2020, Dean of School of Management Che Ada, Assistant Dean Shao Jing and Secretary of Office of International Affairs Teng Di participated in the ACE General Assembly 2020. Affected by the COVID-19, the meeting was hold online.
During thea daylong conference, all participants had in-depth discussions on the planning and projects of ACE, on co-selection of alliance members, as well as on further exchanges and cooperation about research and education between China and Europe.
At the beginning of the conference, Che Ada, Dean of School of Management introduced the 3 participants of NPU. The first part of the meeting is mainly about the financial matters of ACE, including the payment status of each institution and the attendance status of each member. The process of nomination a new member is also mentioned afterwards. Then, members discussed the scholarship of ACE and the fine-tuning of ACE website.
At the second part of the ACE Forum, representatives of each institution gave their talk on topic of‘Research & Education Cooperation : Possibilities & Opportunities’. Representative of School of Management, NPU, Shao Jing mentioned the importance of international cooperation among universities and business schools under the circumstance of global unit, and the importance of online exchange under impact of COVID-19. She gave an example of the 8 courses hold in School of Management during the 2020 International Summer School of NPU. Online courses brought rapid exchange and attracted more participation among students in NPU.
The ACE General Assembly 2020 was hold successfully and brought in-depth thought to all members.
ACE is composed of the management Schools (Business Schools) of top 10 universities in the mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and 10 famous Business Schools in Europe. It is the first Business school Alliance established between China and Europe in the world. ACE aims to build an extensive cooperation platform for teacher exchange, scientific research cooperation, student leadership training and bilateral or multilateral cooperation among its members through the joint efforts of the two sides and resource sharing. The members of the alliance can use this platform to share educational experience, cooperate in the case of development and data collection, jointly study topics that have a significant impact on business practices, share teaching materials, promote mutual visits of teachers and student exchanges, and further improve the teaching quality and scientific research level of business schools in China and Europe.
