III. Introduction to Partner Institutions

Kyoto University, established in 1897, is a national comprehensive university located in the ancient capital of Kyoto, Japan. It is one of the most famous and prestigious universities in Japan, ranking 2nd in Japan and 36th in the 2023 QS World Rankings. Kyoto University adheres to the principle of "academic freedom" and places a strong emphasis on scientific research. The university has produced many Nobel Prize winners, such as Hideki Yukawa and Akira Yoshino, and is known as the "cradle of scientists."

The University of Tokyo,abbreviated as "Todai," is a comprehensive national university located in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo, Japan. Founded in 1877, it is the first national comprehensive university in Japan and one of the earliest Western-style universities in Asia. Todai enjoys an extremely high reputation in Japan and is also globally recognized as a world-class famous university, ranking 28th in the 2024 QS World Rankings.

IV. Program Schedule

Program Duration: July 16-27, 2024

V. Program Cost

16800 CNY per person (including course fees, accommodation, activities, transportation, insurance, etc.; excluding visa fees, round-trip air tickets, meals, and other personal expenses)

VI. Program Highlights

Understanding Japanese-style management and the inheritance and development of century-old shops, Kyoto city architectural design and research on century-old machiya, Japanese pan-art design discussion, social entrepreneurship and sustainable development, examples and reflections on youth innovation and entrepreneurship.

VII. Funding Policy

University Funding: Up to 5000 CNY per student for the Asia region;

Note: Each student can only receive funding for one winter or summer vacation project within a calendar year.

College Funding: 5000 CNY per student for the School of Management; students from other colleges should consult their respective college administrators.
